The Role of your IB Coordinator

We strive to create an inclusive learning community; “living peacefully together by engaging with different ways of knowing and being, prioritizing people and their relationships, assuming shared responsibility for learning, health, and well-being.” ibo.org

The focus of IB Coordinator is to:

  • consider leadership as a shared responsibility

  • work with others in their learning community to create a shared sense of purpose and direction

  • collaborate with others to establish the culture and conditions needed to be an internationally minded IB school.

Our Riffenburgh culture values the unique and precious nature of every individual.  We collaborate, challenge, honor, and encourage life-long learners.  We empower each other with the knowledge that; mistakes are part of learning and accomplished goals are grounds for celebration.

Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”  This has been my true purpose ever since I decided to become a teacher.

  • I love giving freedom for discovery while still coaching students toward their goals.
  • I love watching connections being made and confidence-building.
  • I love giving your kids the opportunity to expect, make, and correct mistakes, after all, this is the basis of all learning.
  • I love your youngsters; thank you for sharing them with me.

My family, my husband, Torrey, and our kids, Eli and Briery, are excited to share this learning journey with you.
